Registering for School
Welcome to Edenton-Chowan Schools! Are you ready to register your child for school? Please review the requirements below. Please call your child's school with any questions and to make an appointment to register (appointment recommended, but not required). The contact information for schools is at the bottom of this page. At this time, you must register in person at your child's school; you cannot register online.
Required Documentation for enrollment to any school:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residence (must be a bill or rent contract)
- Legal Guardianship papers if the child does not reside with a parent
- Proof of grades (i.e. official transcript or last report card from previous school)
- Copy of current Individualized Education Plan (IEP)/Section 504 Plan (if applicable)
- Discipline Records
- Copy of parent/guardian ID
Documentation that is also required within 30 days of enrollment:
- Immunization records
- Kindergarten Physical (only if child is in Kindergarten)
- All test scores (only required at Chowan Middle School and JAH High School)
