Parent Access to Library Materials

In accordance with state law (§115C-98.1), parents and guardians are provided the following rights regarding school and classroom library materials:

• Access to library collections: Each school maintains a searchable, web-based catalog listing all library books and resources available to students. This catalog is accessible from the school’s website homepage.

• Parental control of student borrowing: Parents and guardians may review available titles and designate specific books that their child is not permitted to borrow from the school or classroom library.

This policy promotes transparency, ensuring parents can stay informed about the library's materials.

To review available titles, select your child’s school from the menu on the right and choose the link to the desired collection. If you identify a book you prefer your child not to access, please complete the form provided on the same page.
