Secondary Education
The Secondary Education Department oversees the curriculum for grades 6 through 12. Areas of involvement include Career and Technical Education, Virtual Learning options, dual enrollment with our local community college, and STEM programs.
Opportunities for Transformation
Our main objective is to ensure that students graduate from high school ready for the transformative future that lies ahead. The world has undergone significant changes since the start of the twenty-first century. Our educators are committed to equipping students for the world of tomorrow, not just the one we currently live in.
- Middle school students have access to accelerated course work as well as courses for high school credit.
- High school students have access to honors, AP, and college coursework.
- Each student has a Chromebook and uses Google Apps for Education to help facilitate collaborative learning.
- School counselors work directly with our students to help them prepare for life after graduation.
- Our schools feel like families. Students have the opportunity to join numerous clubs and extra-curricular activities to include North Carolina High School Athletic Association recognized sports teams.
